About Dopeboii Digital
I’m sure you’re wondering where the name came from. Well, here’s the story.
Growing up, I had a diverse group of friends with diverse interests. We were all creative or had the desire to create. I was involved with every crowd – I really had my hands in a bit of everything. The skateboarders, dirt bikers, car stereo systems, graffiti, basketball, fitness, and health. You name it, I was in it. I picked up a camera in high school while I was taking a creative film class and my creativity emerged.
Having these interests, I immersed myself in these communities and environments. I began capturing environments and translating them into visuals. I wanted people to understand and really feel what the community is about and what the environment is like.
When I showed people my work they would use the term “dope” which these days means “cool” or that’s “what’s up.” They would often say, “This video is dope boy.” And so the name was born. Dopeboii came from the term “dope” and Digital came from my work in digital creations. Dopeboii Digital is a character, a persona, a name that I earned being in the street, on site. It is a combination of community and creativity.
“My goal is to translate ideas into feelings for people, brands, and businesses. I want people to get the same feeling I felt when a project is completed from the ground up.“
My Digital Journey
The combination of video, photo, and sound is the greatest form of expression.
Unknowingly, I started my journey in this field many years ago. I was exposed to video editing and graphic design in high school. With the help of two great teachers, I learned how to tell stories and use the software, and this paved the way for a creative future.
With interests in wellness, fitness, fashion, entertainment, music, sports, and entrepreneurship, a diverse portfolio arose. I grew encapsulated with the final product and the various genres of videos, photos, and sounds. I became hooked on translating ideas into feelings and stories. During this time and beyond, I was also creating original music on instruments and the computer. I continued with college classes, self-education, and additional workshops. I dove into my passions and continued to improve my software skills. When you have the ability to navigate through your software or hardware without thinking, that leaves room for pure creation.
I am thankful to have worked with many incredible people and brands. Together we brought their stories to life for the world to see and hear. How can I help tell your story?
